Alcohol is not allowed at Cut, Stack, Burn or any other Bonfire event. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Be prepared. Here's a list of things you need to participate:

  • Pot - This is the helmet everyone wears. You can buy one at Ol' Sarge's on Northgate (College Main across from Antonio's Pizza and Holick's). If you're just visiting, we'll have a couple of extras available, but supplies are limited. You will not be allowed in the woods or at stack site without a pot.  A pot is not required for Burn night.
  • Grodes - Or Bonfire clothes. Yeah, you'll need these, but specifically you'll need to wear clothes that you don't plan on using again outside of Bonfire. You'll only need one set. And don't wash 'em. That smell is good memories (even if your roomates wince when they get a whiff of it). Long pants or overalls and any ol' shirt will do. When choosing pants, make sure they're not too long or excessively baggy. Too much extra material will get in the way and could cause you to trip. Consider wearing a long-sleeved shirt or having a long-sleeved shirt to wear on top of a sleeveless or short-sleeved shirt.
  • Boots - Leather work boots are mandatory. Steel-toed boots are recommended, but not required.
  • Driver's License - You have to have your ID to be admitted into the Bonfire sites.
  • Food and Water - Bring a lunch (for cut) and plenty of water.

Stuff that's good to have but not required:

  • Extra water
  • Gloves
  • Equipment - If you have personal equipment you'd like to use, bring it! The primary tools are axes, machetes, bow saws, and hatchets. (Don't bring chainsaws)

There's always more to learn. You'll pick most of it up as you go along. But if you absolutely need to know something right away, ask your crew's Yellowpot or send us an email.
